About

We (Steve and Jane) relocated from the Welsh Borders to the Scottish Borders in 2020, to begin the next chapter of our lives. Having originally planned to settle on the West Coast of Scotland, we fell in love with the old White Swan Hotel in Yetholm during a chance viewing whilst wintering in Oban.

The Hayloft is the old Victorian hayloft that used to serve the White Swan Hotel, now our home, Swan House. Restoring and renovating the hayloft has been a labour of love; from the handmade terracotta floor tiles, to the cast iron roll-top bath in the bedroom; we've created a real treat of a bolthole. The Hayloft is somewhere to unwind and to rest after a restorative walk up Staerough Hill.
