Terms & conditions
You must be 18 years of age or over to book the Hayloft.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full stay value is required on booking, or full payment of the full stay if within 8 weeks of check-in date.
A booking confirmation will be sent to you once the deposit payment has been made, containing the details of booking and remaining balance due.
Once 25% has been paid, the remaining balance will be due 8 weeks in advance of check in. A reminder will be sent by email.
Deposit payments must be made by debit, credit card or Paypal via our automated website booking system. Remaining balances can also be paid by all of these methods in addition to bank transfer. You will not be charged any surcharges.
You can also book and pay on Airbnb however different booking terms and surcharges will apply.
If you have to, or want to cancel or amend your booking, this request must be sent to us by email. Cancellation will result in your 25% deposit being forfeited. Please note the deposit is always non-refundable.
If you need to cancel your booking within 8 weeks, we will only refund the remainder of the value of the booking if we are able to let out the Hayloft to another party. If this is not possible, the total cost of the accommodation including the deposit will be forfeited.
If extreme weather prevents you from reaching your holiday, taking or finishing your holiday, you are still subject to these cancellation terms as outlined above. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance which covers this eventuality.
If you fail to check in on your date of arrival, no refund will be due.
If you have any special requests (dietary requirements / allergies), please let us know at the time of booking in writing so we can amend our welcome pack.
Please note that only the number of persons specified in the booking confirmation (maximum 2 guests) may stay in the Hayloft. If you wish to bring a babe in arms, please let us know via email when booking.
The property isn't suitable for toddlers / small children and we can't accept dogs.
Arrival & Departure
Check-in is at 4pm, check-out is by 10am, unless otherwise agreed. Please lock the property and leave the key in the key safe on departure.
On booking you agree to keep the Hayloft clean and tidy and leave it in such a condition on departure. Please report any damages to us or in the housekeeping book before you leave. If it is left in an excessively dirty state, it may be subject to an additional cleaning surcharge.
Smoking is not permitted inside the Hayloft. Please go outside if you wish to smoke and safely dispose of cigarette butts.
Please only use candles in the lanterns provided and do not leave candles lit unattended whilst at the Hayloft.
Should there be any issue with any utilities (water, electricity, heating, Wifi, plumbing) please inform us immediately.
Please note we don't allow charging of electric vehicles through the mains electricity. If you need to charge your car, there are points available in Kelso (8 miles).
We will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any property on the Hayloft premises. Vehicles and personal items are left at the owner’s risk. It is recommended that your holiday insurance covers such loss or damage.
