Highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying at Steve’s place. We stayed in winter to visit the Edinburgh Christmas Markets and we made full use of the log burner, the warmth/coziness was everything we could’ve asked for and more. Location is ideal with beautiful surroundings and a short drive to nearby towns.

We absolutely loved our stay. It was so comfortable and cosy and everything we needed, plus more, was provided. The attention to detail was second to none - even a freshly baked loaf of bread, with jam and butter in the fridge. After a chilly walk on St Cuthbert’s Way we lit the wood burning stove and settled in to a restful afternoon with a pot of tea, plus a lovely hot bath. Our host, Steve, was very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend it.

Steve was a lovely host, gave us a very warm welcome and had thought of everything you could possibly need. We really fell in love with the Hayloft, it is beautifully done and the perfect place to escape and relax in front of the fire. Plenty of walks nearby and pubs for a cosy meal. We will most definitely be back.

Fantastic hosts and a wonderful weekend away. Very thoughtful with homemade bread and all the amenities that you could want. The house was spotless and every step was taken to make it a wonderful and comfortable stay. The area is lovely and quiet and perfect for a weekend away with lots to do around and easy to access other places. Would definitely book again.

Yetholm loft was a perfect, quiet retreat. Renovated to highest standard and absolutely spotless. Lots of interesting nicknacks around the place but did not seem at all cluttered. Better than we could have hoped for and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Steve is a helpful and responsive host and he and Jane had definitely thought of everything

Cosy and beautiful - the best AirBnB we’ve stayed in so far!
A perfect base for heading out on walks in the surrounding countryside, or for cosy days in by the fire when it was raining.

A return visit for us to The Hayloft at Yetholm. This really is a fabulous place; a real home from home with everything you would need & more for a comfortable stay. Steve and Jane have furnished the Hayloft very tastefully. The bed is so comfortable and we slept well underneath the velux windows perfect for stargazing. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout, down to the homemade bread on arrival which did not last long it was so good. The location is excellent being well placed to visit many places of interest. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks for another wonderful stay.

We had a fabulous 2 night stay at the Hayloft. The property is in a beautiful, location in the centre of the village with access to many stunning walks from the front door. The Hayloft is spacious, comfortable and contains everything we needed for the weekend from the unexpected welcome pack of goodies to the comprehensively fitted kitchen and high quality audio system. Steve and Jane were excellent hosts and we will definitely be back very soon!

Perfect place. You won't find a cleaner, smarter or more comfortable place on Airbnb. No stone left unturned. Great spot to base yourself for visiting the borders, Northumberland or deeper into Scotland. The beginning of the Pennine Way on the doorstep too

What a treat! We had, of course, scrutinised the photos of Steve’s place before booking, but clearly didn’t compute quite how nice The Hayloft is. It’s self-catering as self-care! Be sure to walk through to Kirk Yetholm for a drink at The Border, the last stop on the Pennine Way, where finishers are offered a free half-pint.

The Hayloft was even better than it looks on the website, from the moment we got there and were met by Steve, it felt special. It's such a comfortable and homely space, and you are not wanting for anything. It is one of the best stocked kitchens for if you want to cook that we have ever had. The walks from the doorstep were just amazing, we genuinely felt so relaxed after our 4 nights that it was a wrench to head home. We would highly recommend the Hayloft to anyone that wanted an escape that would make you feel like you were home. We will absolutely be back. 😊

We had the most special few nights at the Hayloft! It is a cosy, beautifully decorated, romantic little hideaway. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and it exceeded our expectations in every way - the delicious homemade bread (still warm), the fantastic music system, the great selection of books and information about the local area and the super comfy bed. Wonderful hosts and a truly luxurious experience - we didn't want to leave!

The Hayloft is one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at - believe all the reviews! It is perfectly placed to explore the Borders and the Northumberland Coast. There are also some good walks around Yetholm villages themselves.
Steve and Jane have worked hard to create a tastefully decorated and very comfortable cottage that is clean and fresh. It has everything you would wish for. We arrived to a loaf of fresh bread and complementary fresh goods which was very much appreciated. Showering and bathing are luxurious and the bed is super comfortable. Would highly recommend.

The most beautiful cottage in the Scottish Borders. Friend and I met for a weekend away and enjoy our stay! Steve was brilliant and gave us some great recommendations for the area. Some lovely touches on arrival including the bread. We had planned to go out for dinner but changed our plans to make the most of being in the cottage and being able to sit outside with the lovely weather we had. Highly recommend and will return! 😊

I was instantly thrilled when I arrived. A cozy, luxuriously modern cottage with l-o-v-e-l-y little touches throughout. And the perfect oasis to unwind at the end of the day, the loft was heavenly with its roll top bath. The impressive Playlist put together by Steve on the iPod, was all I needed to recharge. The surrounding foothills and Cheviots beyond are stunning! Walks are fabulous wherever you choose. Outdoor seating.... a great little spot too. One week in the Scottish Borders just left me wishing for more. You will absolutely love Steve & Jane.

The Hayloft ticks all our boxes. It has a good location in the Scottish Borders. The conversion is well designed and has been done to a high standard. The cottage is clean, dry, warm and well equipped. The accommodation is lovely and just right for the two of us. The owners are friendly and professional. The welcome pack - with home-made bread - is a real treat. In the cottage, there are details of walks in the surrounding countryside. There are good local amenities. There is a supermarket and other shops in Kelso and Melrose. This was a repeat visit – and I am sure we will be back.

Had an amazing few days away, Steve was lovely and the property was immaculately clean and tidy. Great facilities within the property as well. Felt like home immediately and the freshly baked loaf of bread was just a bonus. Good parking and easy to find, very easy check in and check out instructions. A truly cosy and relaxing place to stay with great walking right from the door. The Hayloft is is very comfortably furnished and the kitchen is ideal for self catering. The bed is enormous and extremely comfortable and the wood burning stove (in addition to the central heating) makes it a delight on a cold winters' night. A great place to stay with lots to do in the neighbouring area. Hosts Steve and Jane have made this a great place to stay.
