We had a great stay at the Hayloft. It was finished to a very high standard and had everything we could have needed! The breakfast left for us was a lovely touch. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in The Borders! Steve was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

Beautiful cottage with very well equipped kitchen. Lovely design features throughout the cottage. Lots of maps and books about the local area. The community shop in the village is very well stocked for all essentials where you can buy excellent fresh local bread.

B - JUN '23

We had a fantastic stay at The Hayloft. An exceptionally appointed cottage in a great location. Steve & Jane were first class hosts and extremely accommodating in every way. They had thought of everything and more. Yetholm welcomed us as locals; we found the village centrally placed for lots to see and do. Being at the very end of the Pennine Way the views are stunning. We will be back, we still need to see attractions we didn't have the time for and we definitely want to walk up the hill across the road from the Hayloft. Thanks Steve and Jane, you were great.

S - JUN '23

Perfect for a relaxing holiday. Everything had been so well thought out from the homemade bread for breakfast to suggestions for walks from the front door. We enjoyed being able to walk to the pub (either across the road or in Kirk Yetholm) and made use of the community shop. Friendly hosts and locals, plenty of places to explore in an unspoilt area - we’d love to come again!

C - MAY '23

Absolute perfection! The cottage was spotless and beautifully decorated. Room to move about and every detail considered with the comfort of the guest top of mind. Town Yetholm was the perfect base for walks right out the door, surrounded by the Cheviot Hills. We stayed for a week and hiked a different area each day. Close to historic sites but without the bustle of the larger villages. Steve and Jane were the ultimate hosts, but more importantly just great people. We loved our stay.

No expense spared on decore it was classy and comfortable- they even had a music system with nano mini which had a wonderful play list - will definitely be back.

Perfect - we have had a really good week here. The Hayloft is so well thought out and everything you could need for a relaxing time. We've enjoyed walks from the front door, part of St Cuthberts Way from Morebattle after taking the bus, and exploring Kelso, Melrose and St Boswells. Friendly locals too! Hope we can make it back another year.

A superbly fitted out and immaculate cottage in a superb location. Thank you so much for all the 'extras', it is lovely that some people are still going the extra mile. Hopefully we'll return for a little more exploration.

Two nights at the Hayloft just wasn't enough - we left wanting more! Thank you Jane and Steve for creating a wonderful relaxing bolthole in beautiful countryside. A warm welcome at The Border in Kirk Yetholm and plenty of games in front of the fire is a must, and we can recommend a beautiful circular walk to see the old Cheviot goats from Hethpool (walking route on the Northumberland National Park website).

What an amazing stay at one of the most beautiful Airbnbs we have ever stayed at! Just wish we were staying longer!

 S - AUG '22

We had a wonderful two night stay at this newly refurbished hayloft. The accommodation had everything and more that you require for your stay. It is situated in a lovely friendly village with a pub just yards away and for away days you are less than an hour away from the stunning Northumberland coastline and its many castles and about an hour and half to Edinburgh. Though we did not do any walks the surrounding countryside is spectacular. Highly recommend.

S - AUG '22

The Hayloft is the most idyllic place to stay. Set in a tranquil and stunning location in the Borders, the Hayloft itself wants for nothing. The attention to detail and gorgeous interior makes a stay at the Hayloft a complete delight and treat. Steve and Jane are wonderful hosts - attentive and thoughtful whilst leaving you to relax and unwind. Really helpful walking maps of the local area were a huge hit. Will definitely return for more rural detoxing.

S & K - AUG '22
