This was our second stay at The Hayloft in Town Yetholm, and it certainly won’t be our last! It’s such a lovely place—beautifully presented, comfortable, and the perfect base for exploring the area.The homemade bread waiting for us on arrival was a wonderful touch and a delicious welcome. It’s little details like this that make the stay feel so special.The hosts are absolutely wonderful—so welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely keen to make sure you have everything you need. If you’re lucky, you might even get a complimentary car wash! We had another fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

Wondering whether to visit the Hayloft? Don't hesitate. It's spacious, luxurious and incredibly well thought-out. Yetholm is delightful; everyone says hello. Fantastic walking and an easy car ride to other parts of the Borders.

It’s not just the pretty location , the cosy, comfortable interior and the drop-dead gorgeous roll-top bath in a fabulous hayloft setting that sets The Hayloft at Town Yetholm apart, it’s the myriad of thoughtful touches: sinking your weary face into a soft towel that smells of heaven, shrugging on a comforting bath robe, slicing into freshly baked bread and slathering on creamy butter, and - bear with me here, being provided with a soft cotton top sheet as an alternative to the cloudy duvet in a heatwave. The warmest of welcomes, this highly recommended home exceeds expectations.

Fantastic , cosy cottage in a small peaceful village close to Kelso. The cottage has been very tastefully renovated and is very comfortable with all mod cons and lovely touches - we felt instantly at home and really enjoyed our stay. Steve was very helpful and responsive and gave us some useful local insights.
The acid test of a place is would you stay again and without hesitation I can say yes, we will be back !!

We have recently returned from a wonderful stay at The Yetholm Hayloft. This was our second stay and on arrival we got the same feeling of how special this place is. The Hayloft is comfortable, very clean, well equipped and the host has thought of everything to ensure a great stay. We explored the beautiful Scottish Borders and in the evening relaxed around the fire or took a bubble bath after a long walk . It was nice to see Steve again who is friendly, helpful and has good local knowledge. We would definitely recommend Yetholm Hayloft .

This was a really special place, with everything done to a really high standard and lots of thoughtful touches. It was quiet, peaceful and luxurious and perfect for a relaxing few days in the spring. The Hayloft is one of my favourite places to stay. I have stayed three times now and will return. The house is well appointed with everything you could need. The layout downstairs creates a relaxed and warm space. The upper floor is heaven. A gorgeous free standing bath and a huge bed. It is complete stunning.

A brilliant stay, just what we were looking for: peaceful, beautifully appointed, easy location for day trips into Northumbria or the Scottish Borders. Everything provided is of the highest quality and placed with great thoughtfulness and care. We felt immediately relaxed. Hosts Steve and Jane were helpful and attentive when required but otherwise allowed us to enjoy the peace and escape of their lovely Hayloft. We highly recommend!

We stayed at Yetholm Hayloft in early December and had a super few days. This is a gem of a place in a beautiful part of the country, excellently hosted by Steve and Jane. The accommodation was cosy, comfortable and had everything we needed for a luxurious and restful stay. Town Yetholm’s a friendly village and it was great to have the community shop and bistro with fantastic menu on our doorstep. We have already booked to return this summer to explore more of this hidden corner of the beautiful Scottish Borders.

Our stay at Yetholm Hayloft was perfect, Steve and Jane have created a rustic yet luxurious space. Steve was very approachable and charming, he drove us to various places so we could make the most of the stunning local walks. We also loved walking the peaceful local hills from the door step (with S&J’s helpful guides). The place was absolutely spotless and we instantly felt welcomed and at home. The log burner, bath, shower and bed were amazing! It made for a very wholesome and restful holiday, it is a truly special place. Thank you S&J, we are excited to come back again in the spring/summer.

What a charming place! Everything was provided and thought of. The luxurious touches and additions of a log fire and roll top bath made it a special break. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft. The location was perfect for walking and we enjoyed visiting the local pubs and deli’s. Steve and Jane were fabulous hosts and we loved all the thoughtful touches around the Hayloft. Steve even offered to drop us off at the start of a walk so we could hike all the way back which was brilliant.

We had booked the Hayloft last minute and couldn’t have made a better decision. The accommodation is beautiful and full of character - a perfect combination of antiques and modern comforts. We enjoyed every moment at the Hayloft and its the stunning surroundings and really appreciated not requiring a car to get to local shops, pubs and excellent walks. We would definitely return to the Hayloft for a longer visit.

One of the best cottage stays I’ve ever been to! The attention to detail and quality of all amenities was top level - the little things don’t go un noticed! The owner kindly let us in the cottage early so we had more time to enjoy and he couldn’t have done more if he tried. Such a lovely area and the locals are very friendly. Would highly recommend

We had a fantastic weekend at the Hay Loft. It’s a beautiful wee cottage with a gorgeous spot to sit outside in the sun. The property was immaculately clean and the bread/butter/jam and milk much appreciated. The property has been very thoughtfully furnished with everything you would need for a weekend away. The village is quaint and it was great having the community shop and the pub on the doorstep. We loved being able to go on walks from the front door-onto the Pennine way. We would highly recommend the Hay loft for a break or holiday.

This was by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in and will most definitely be back!
The house it’s absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway. It has been beautifully restored with outstanding attention to detail. We enjoyed doing two of the walk route maps that had been laminated for guests meaning we could take the map with us.
The hosts are attentive and kind. We much appreciated the artisan bread on arrival.
The town its self is quiet, two pubs serving decent pub grub and local ales.
This place was a great find x

​We had a lovely time at the Hayloft. The property is spacious, beautifully furnished and perfectly equipped for relaxing after a walk, spending cosy evenings, or making dinner home. Town Yetholm is the perfect base to explore both the Cheviots and the Borders. Kelso has a good selection of shops (do try Scott's for deli and lunch), Melrose has even more options. The Pennine Way ends in Yetholm and offers breathtaking views of the Cheviots.

The Hey loft is a lovely cottage in the heart of the village, there was a welcome pack provided on arrival with milk, bread, butter and jam which was a lovely touch. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable, I would highly recommend it and would love to go back and spend more time there .

A return visit to the Hayloft, having stayed for the first time in April this year. This place has been a great find. Beautifully appointed, the property has everything one can want or need. The upper level is a beautiful suite comprising of a huge bed and bathtub. Striking the perfect balance between home from home and luxury, as a guest you feel very welcome, comfortable and relaxed. With nearby walks, a short drive to beaches and a on this occasion a trip to Kelso for a spa day, I highly recommend this property.

Booked 2 nights for my boyfriend and I to enjoy a ‘slow’ weekend in a cosy cottage and it absolutely excelled our expectations. Steve was incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much. Everything was pristine and the extra touches such as the sourdough loaf, milk, butter, jam etc was so kind. We ended up being there on some of the hottest days of the year so no need to use the wood burning stove so we’re going back in November to really made the most of the wood burner and the bath tub. On departure Steve gave us some local recommendations and we took him up on the advice, unsurprisingly he didn’t disappoint. We couldn’t recommend this place enough. 10/10! Thank you again ☺️

I was drawn to this listing by the picture of a beautiful green glass jug and the loft's aesthetic did not disappoint - such a lovely, stylish and comfortable place to stay! The upstairs level is a luxurious space with a bathtub and comfortable bed. The sunlight streams in making waking up in Yetholm a delight. Hosts are incredibly attentive. The perfect break.

We had the most beautiful stay at Steve’s place. We wanted somewhere peaceful and country/cottage feel to it and this was the perfect setting. The area in which the accommodation is located is so peaceful, and the stars at night are so gorgeous. The accommodation itself was so gorgeous and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. It was so cosy and we didn’t want to leave! We met Steve on arrival and when we left and he is such a lovely guy and is a great host. If there was anything we needed Steve attended to it straight away. We will most definitely be back. Thank you for having us 😊
